I have just purchased Music Studio for Windows, and I also own Org24 for iPad, both support auto-accompaniment features for my midi keyboard. These look great, sound good, support features such as intros, variations, fills, break, endings etc, and they deserve to be well known in the marketplace.

I am currently only using them as simple accompaniment machines, using the included styles, but the applications are clearly feature rich and can do far more than I am currently using them for. 1. A manual or preferably user guide would be so helpful, but I can’t find one. Is there a short guide to the many features?

I understand imported styles will typically need tweaking to voice correctly etc but what are the best Yamaha .sty formats to use (Yamaha SFF1 or SFF2), or are Korg xxxx a better choice (– I’m not so familiar with Korg formats), or what instrument have best compatibility (Yamaha Tyros, Tyros 2, PSRxxxx, Genos, Korg Paxxx, etc) . A guide to style importing and the best approach for getting imported styles to work effectively would be really useful.
3. The concepts of ‘Sets’ and ‘DNC’ are important. What is the best way to create, edit, save, and use them effectively, and where should various elements such as the pad buttons be used.
4. Within Music Studio, there are three top level tabs – ‘Main’, ‘Effects’, and ‘Live Styles’. 'Main' seems to be the best place for playing auto-accompaniments, but I’m not sure what the key objectives of the ‘Live Styles’ tab is. It has features such as drum pads but by default doesn’t appear to generate any instrument sound from the keyboard.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Yamaha: Tyros sets with STY, PRS, PAD, UVN, and UVD file formats are best.
KORG: KORG PA PA3Le and lower is better, as there are no factory samples for the higher models.

3- As you know, for creating the Set files you have to use Music Studio, for DNCs you use Instrument Manager in Music Studio,
Also, Pads are the Style sections like Intros and Variations.

4- On the Live Style page, you can create a Style by playing, Most users use it only for fun,
